About Law

The village of Law is located in South Lanarkshire, between the towns of Wishaw and Carluke. It is a former mining village and was also the location of Law Hospital, which closed in 2001.

Law Primary School is based in the village and accommodates approximately 300 children from the local area. Most pupils then move on to study at Carluke High School which is about four miles away.

There are a range of local services available, including general stores, places of worship, pharmacy, pub, hairdresser, coffee shop, takeaways and a bowling club.

A number of groups run throughout the week at places like the Tom Craig Centre and Law Parish Church.
